PAUSE: An All-Inclusive Midwinter Movement Retreat
This thoughtfully curated, all-inclusive retreat is anchored in the teachings of the resource-based, mindful movement practices of Open Floor International. From writing to dance parties, guided movement to time in nature, spacious time alone to co-resting opportunities, there’s a little something for everyone and every part of your being. Come learn about Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, an evidence supported psychotherapy intervention that effectively treats anxiety, depression, trauma, and other symptoms. What trauma is and how anxiety and depression are often symptoms of trauma will be discussed. There will be an experiential practice where you will create an EMDR resource through guided visualization that you can use at home to self-regulate and calm your nervous system.
