It is winter in the Midwest and it might be time for you to pack those bags and head out on vacation! I hope so for you! I am a big believer in the benefits of travel for mental health; the novelty, taking a break from your regular routine, and having time away from work. It is a plus if you get away to somewhere sunny to soak in some rays.

Preparing and packing for even a weekend can be stressful, much less for longer trips. Over the years, two things have been huge time and stress savers when it comes to travel for me:

1) Overnight Toiletries Bag: Having duplicates of all the things I need, for a grab-and-go solution!

2) Master Packing List: Keeping a master list that I can reference on my computer. I am sharing mine here with you!

BONUS TIP: Take pictures or videos of what you are packing so that if you need to make an insurance claim you have proof of what you had in your luggage. Save in your email or upload to the Cloud so you can access from anywhere.

You deserve a vacation! Take it. Have fun! Enjoy! Safe travels.

“Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” ~Miriam Beard
