Part of Living and Loving is Losing and Grieving

It is not always easy to welcome the passing of time because there are things that are so precious, so sweet, that we want to hold onto them forever.

But forever is not the way of life. There is a constant pull towards death from the moment we come into existence.

Part of living and loving is losing and grieving. It’s the natural order of life. We are hardwired to love and to grieve. Grieving is the process tasked with helping us to find new meaning in living after suffering a loss.

The grief process can be exhausting, overwhelming, surprising, and bittersweet. Ninety percent (90%) of us grieve without complications, but for the 10% who experience a stuckness or severe symptoms, counseling can be supportive during dark times.
