SPATIAL AWARENESS is one of Open Floor’s Core Movement Resources. Spatial awareness is about sensing movement and where your body is in space (proprioception), being aware of your inner experiences (interoception), noticing sensory input (exteroception), and being able to move safely.

Those with a strong sense of SPATIAL AWARENESS are:

·      Graceful, agile, and confident movers

·      Good with boundaries

·      Can witness and hold space for emotions of self and others

·      Attuned in relationships

·      Can sense universal energy

Indications that SPATIAL AWARENESS might be a growth area for you include:

·      Clumsy, awkward mover

·      Difficulty setting or honoring boundaries

·      Gets overwhelmed by emotions of self or others

·      Hard time reading the space needs of self and others

·      Spaced out, disorientated

Come practice your sense of SPATIAL AWARENESS through meditation and movement with Open Floor! What you practice on the dance floor builds awareness and skills for navigating life off the dance floor.
