Trauma is not what happens to us, it is what happens inside of us in response to an event that felt threatening or overwhelming. As human beings, we have billions of experiences and we are meant to draw adaptive learning from these experiences, yet sometimes we have maladaptive responses that leave us feeling stuck, rigid, fearful, or unable to let something go.

EMDR is a therapeutic approach that allows the whole person to reprocess disturbing experiences shifting them into adaptative outcomes.
