How To MANAGE STRESS + ALL THE THINGS ON YOUR PLATE BETTER!

Fairly often people show up to therapy with sleep issues, high levels of stress/anxiety, exhaustion, and they want to learn “tools, strategies, and coping skills” to manage life better. To be able to do it ALL or MORE better. 

We can talk skills and strategies, and there is a place for that. 

YET, we often end of having conversations about having limited time, resources, and energy, and that maybe doing it ALL and BETTER isn’t the solution? Maybe it’s doing LESS. Cutting things out? Prioritizing? Learning boundaries? Honoring limits? NOT DOING IT ALL.

In our culture, we have this attitude of MORE, BIGGER, BETTER and yet mental and physical health issues are at all-time highs, loneliness, dissatisfaction, and disconnection are commonplace. We are unwell as a cultural and I’m convinced part of the issue is our busyness and this MORE, BIGGER, BETTER attitude.
