Are You Able to RELEASE Tension, Emotions, and Thoughts with Ease?

Open Floor International is a not-for-profit organization that teaches “resource-based movement practices.” Open Floor’s curriculum includes 10 Core Movement Resources: ground, center, spatial awareness, expand and contract, release, towards and away, activate and settle, dissolve, vector, and pause. Practicing these “Core Movement Resources” in an embodied way on the dance floor makes them more accessible to you as you move through life off the dance floor.

RELEASE is one of Open Floor’s Core Movement Resources. Release is about being able to release “tension, emotion, thought and the entire body to the will of life force…”

Those with strong RELEASE skills are:

·      Physically open, relaxed

·      Emotionally receptive, fluid, and present

·      Cognitively flexible and able to quiet the mind

·      Spiritually able to connect to source, surrender, and be at peace

·      Relationally at ease with others

Indications that RELEASE might be a growth area for you include:

·      You’re physically tense, rigid, or have shallow breath

·      You’re emotionally stuck, overly contained, or have extreme emotions

·      You’re cognitively closed to new ideas, hold rigid beliefs, or ruminate

·      Spiritually you’re disconnected, distrustful, or cling to dogma

·      You’re insecure, controlling, or clingy in relationships

Come practice your ability to RELEASE through meditation and conscious movement with Open Floor! What you practice on the dance floor builds awareness and skills for navigating life off the dance floor.

·      Moving Meditation & You-Pick Blooms! Saturday, August 12th, 2023 from 10am-12n at Two Bees & A Bud Flower Farm in New Richmond, WI!
