Do You Do This ONE Thing Under Times of Stress?

It’s wild as human beings that when we are under increased stress, we desert all the things we typically do to support ourselves such as exercising, eating well, connecting with friends and family, spending time in nature, getting enough sleep, etc. AND this is exactly opposite of what we should be doing! 

During times of increased stressed we need to be DOUBLING DOWN on the basics and our self-care!

One day last week, I had high levels of stress. I slept well, but I woke up with a sense of tension in my body and a hurt in my heart. And I thought to myself, I don’t really want to do my meditation practice or exercise today, instead I felt like curling up on the couch and eating treats.

Luckily, my wiser self, convinced me to DOUBLE DOWN on my self-care for the day rather than abandon what I normally practice.

SO I did, 30 minutes of yin yoga, a 25 minute HIIT workout, a 45 minute walk and talk with a supportive person around the lake, 10 minutes of self-spotting, took some herbal supplements for stress support, worked, got some hugs from my favorite guys, did a quick bike ride over to the pool and swam laps for 20 minutes, made a chiropractor appointment, watched a show, and finished off my day feeling alright!
